Dear Catechesis Families,
I am happy to say Catechesis Registration is open!
Simple answer: We register because we are taught by Jesus that we are not just an individual, we are one in Him. He is the vine. We are the branches. Together we are the Body of Christ. Staying together is a verb, which requires an action. Keep your children in Community, register for Catechesis. Together we are stronger. At this time, we all need to be reminded of our center and ground in God. Religious Education is more important than ever! …pursue righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. Compete well for the faith… Timothy 6: 11-12

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE FALL?
We know that the Archdiocese of Chicago is complying with Governor Pritzker’s directives and with the recommendations of the CDC. Cardinal Cupich and the bishops of the Chicago Province (with the approval of state and local public health officials and civil authorities) have developed a Plan that includes procedures for all practices and cleaning procedures each parish and school needs to observe. These guidelines are being communicated to all parish staff. Here at St. Paul, Fr. Britto has formed a board to ensure the Cardinal’s directives will be executed in an efficient and organized manner. As we open buildings, the safety of our parishioners and students is a top priority.
As of now, we are anticipating having live classes in the Fall with catechists following the new procedures for safety. And as always, we have many options from which to choose! And for those of you that need to have your children remain learning remotely, for the year, please know that we have two options that will allow for those circumstances (Directed Study and Faith First)! Please be sure to read the entire Registration page carefully. If you are interested in being a catechist, please complete the Volunteer Form. This year, you have the ability to email us your registration and/or pay online with a credit card.
And if you would like to speak with me, simply email me your number at firstname.lastname@example.org
WHAT IF WE CAN’T HAVE ANY LIVE CLASSES IN THE FALL OR AT SOME TIME DURING THE YEAR?
We are currently training in online teaching/learning options. If remote learning is required, classes will be created (for all our options) and structured for your children to grow in their faith while keeping in mind our families’ busy schedules (even at home!).
We will keep you informed about any move to all online classes but please know, if we make that move, the classes will be as easy on your lives as possible!
Please keep your generous Sunday donations coming so that we may keep up all the good works that happen here at St. Paul of the Cross! Click here to Donate to the Parish
Please enjoy the spring pictures/messages we received from our catechists and families – they may take a bit to load And feel free to send us more!
Contact us: We communicate through emails. If you are new to this site and want to be added to our emails, just send an email (with your name and children’s names & grades) to my address below and we will add you to our list!
